NEWS: 3DS Gets a Second Analog Stick Attachment

Nintendo has announced that their 3DS handheld will be receiving a special attachment to allow for a second analog stick and shoulder buttons.  Not much else has been said about the attachment, and maybe there isn’t anything else to be said about it, besides the price.   If there are more details to be heard about this particular attachment, it will be heard during their press conference to announce some of their new products on September 13th, in Japan.

Obviously, this attachment makes the system bigger and bulkier, so I’m guessing it won’t sell very well unless it is needed for certain games.  This also arises the question on whether or not a new version of the 3DS is currently being worked on.  The 3DS hasn’t even been out for a full year, so why even consider this newer model possibility?  Well, if you’ve seen how Nintendo and other companies pump out newer versions of the same system, you’ll know that it isn’t too early to start hypothesizing what the new model will look like.
